Memory Care
Our DayBreak Community caters to seniors with varying degrees of memory impairment. Dedicated neighborhoods are secure and feature dining facilities, living rooms for socialization, a secured patio, and other comfortable dedicated areas for activities to support resident interests and needs.
Our staff is trained in our state of the art DayBreak program, which has been exclusively developed to deliver the latest research-based care to each resident.
Your loved one's care coordinator meets regularly with our interdisciplinary team to focus on your family member's needs. They will likewise meet with you to provide continuous feedback. We invite you to visit often to participate in social events and care driven activities. We look forward to hearing your thoughts and ideas about your loved one while we assume the responsibility of providing personal care.
DayBreak incorporates clinical, personal and social needs in a supportive, individualized approach delivered seven days a week; 24 hours a day.
Some elements include sensory activities, validation therapy, reminiscence therapy, physical exercise that promote gross motor skills and fine motor skills, social interaction and appropriate engagement through group dining. Research shows that individuals with memory impairment do best when they remain stimulated and their abilities are supported. Our families love our individualized micro-environments, which offer each resident an opportunity to maintain their hobbies and interests at an appropriate level on a regular basis. We take pride in working with each resident to preserve his or her dignity and self esteem at all times. We provide:
- Sensory activities
- Reminiscence Therapy
